This Edouard Pernot Absinthe postcard is a reproductions of classic absinthe posters once popular 100 years ago. The original posters were typically quite large and colorful. The company was originally formed with the goal of riding the coattail of the most popular absinthe makers at the time, Edouard Pernod. In the French language, the last letter in both of these last names are silent, thus sounding exactly the same. So when a bar patron asked for an Absinthe Pernot or an Absinthe Pernod they were served whichever absinthe the bartender wanted to serve them.
The back of the postcard has an ample amount of space for a written message on the left, while the right side features preset lines for the recipient's name and address.
