This print is an original late 19th century absinthe label print from the H. Deniset Jeune distillery located in Pontarlier, the birthplace of absinthe in France. It was printed using a 4-color offset press, which means that each color is applied separately. This printing method would have been the same as that used to produce the original labels. The colors and image are crisp and vibrant. Silver metallic ink was used in the printing process on the absinthe branches and leaves, adding to the authentic look and feel of the print. The use of metallic inks creates a rich, glossy finish and an authentic look. The photo above does not show the metallic ink.
