This print is a late 19th century original absinthe label print from the Chorot Frères distillery located in Moirans, a small town in southwest France. The region was once renowned for its vineyards. It was printed on a 4-color offset press, meaning that each color was applied separately. This printing method would have been the same as that used to produce the original labels. The colors and image are crisp and vibrant. Silver metallic ink was used in the printing process on the absinthe branches and leaves, adding to the authentic look and feel of the print. The photo above does not show the metallic ink.

The black line that borders the image above is used only as a reference for what the poster would look like framed and matted.
