A faithful reproduction of the Belle Époque absinthe fountain of the 19th century, thanks to its two taps, it is adorned with a "pineapple" lid. The lid is removable so that iced water can be added to the glass bowl, which includes a water filter. The pineapple symbolizes hospitality and friendship. Designed by hand, the fountains are handmade. Mouth-blown, the glass bowl is chrome-plated over brass. Two metal taps allow the fountain to hold one or two glasses at a time.

Given the cost of absinthe fountains, they were used in the chicest bars. Brought directly to the table, customers could prepare their own elixir. Thanks to taps that controlled the flow of water and the use of absinthe glasses and spoons, absinthe fountains were (and still are) the preferred way to prepare absinthe. Very few old fountains have survived the passage of time, notably because of their glass bowl.

Fill the bowl with fresh water and add ice cubes. To get the most out of your fountain, simply pour an ounce of absinthe into the glass provided. Then, at your convenience, place a sugar cube on an absinthe spoon and let the magic happen. By opening the tap slightly, either with the drip or with a trickle of ice-cold water, the virtues of the essential oils will be released. You'll discover the subtle fennel aromas of grand wormwood and aniseed.

The mixture of water and anise then takes on a milky-white color. Refresh the water before each use.

Everyone can then dose as they wish, diluting 1 part absinthe to 3 to 5 parts water.
